At the end of January we moved into a house with a steep sloping garden that had not been loved or looked after for some time. We had no idea what to do with it. With three dogs - one that is allergic to grass -  we wanted a garden with level seating areas so we could sit in the sunshine at certain times of day, but without having a lawn. We needed safe steps and walkways to allow us access to all the areas.

Chris Plant designed a garden that gave us exactly what we wanted and more.  We have various planting areas, and three areas of garden to sit in and enjoy the sun as it moves around the garden.  Chris not only followed the brief, but went over and above to explain his ideas, which we would not have thought of, had we been planning this garden ourselves.

His workforce were second to none; they told us what they were planning on doing and answered every little query we had.  Chris himself was a regular visitor to the site.

Our garden is unique and we love it. We couldn't ask for more.

Thank you!

I'm really pleased with it Chris and the guys were great.

Attached is view from inside the house. My children have already repurposed it as a yoga platform!

Very many thanks for your efficiency and skills.

We have just completed a project including landscaping, the building of slate walls, paths, driveway and large patio with reclaimed granite edges and steps, all in natural materials to suit our Victorian house. The project took about three weeks and was completed on schedule and on budget.

The outline project was agreed early on after several visits from Martin and Chris and we received some good input on the design and choice of materials. Communication was always easy and prompt. Most of the materials were procured by the company and all arrived on time and as requested: for those that I myself bought at a local quarry the company were very helpful in meeting there to help in the choice and in picking up themselves to avoid further delivery costs.

They also utilised the considerable old granite blocks we had already on site. John and Gary worked full time on site for the duration of the project and there was no fitting in other client’s jobs at the same time, which can be really frustrating when that happens. Mid Cornwall committed at the beginning to work from start to completion continuously and that is exactly what they did.

The men on site were brilliant – nothing was too much trouble and when we changed things a bit they were always happy to oblige and make the changes we wanted. Given they had machinery on site they very helpfully fitted in moving heavy boulders around and even moving a tree for us. Nothing was too much trouble and they were the most amenable contractors I have come across. The final work was exactly what we wanted, achieving the rustic feel we desired and the patio and walling in particular looked like they fitted in perfectly with the house and building, and did not look like they  were newly done at all.

I have no hesitation in recommending the company and am very likely to have more work done myself in the near future.
